This is a difficult to find 100% Virgin Wool Felt of a superior thickness used by many of America's top professional teddy bear artists. Please note that Color F5-Off White is not treated with a water repellent and can therefore be dyed to your own custom colors. The width of one running yard is about 60" to 63"

These are Fiberboard Discs as opposed to the Hardboard Discs (see below). The difference between the two types of discs are in the choice of material, thickness of the discs and the size of center holes. The Fiberboard Discs are available in two thicknesses and come with two center holes. The 1/16" thickness in sizes 1/4" through 3/4" outside diameter are all for mini-sized teddies. Use 1/16 x 3/4" or 1/16 x 1/2" cotter pins. The 1/8" thickness in sizes 3/4" through 2-1/2" outside diameter are for small to large bears. Use 6/32 lock nuts & screws with a #6 support washer or a 7/64 cotter pin with a #6 support washer.

Our Hardboard Discs come with two different sized center holes. The "small" center is the most commonly used center and used with the 6/32 lock nut and screw with a #6 support washer or the 7/64 cotter pin with a #6 support washer. The "large" center is used with the 10/24 lock nut and screw plus a #8 support washer.

German Pearl Cotton
As far as nose thread is concerned, # 8 is the thinnest Pearl Cotton and, generally speaking, only used for mini-sizes. # 5 is thicker, but still relatively thin, and used for small to medium sized bears while # 3, the thickest, is used for medium to large sized teddies. Color 403-Black is by far the most popular color followed by 380-Dark Brown and 905-Moss Brown.
