Many customers use it 'as is'...or dye it themselves for their own custom colors. As the String mohair is inserted in the hot dye-bath, the mohair strands will 'open up' (burst) resulting in a finish similar to what you are used to seeing. In this example, Quality 325STR/N has been slightly overdyed. Quality 325STR/N is a 5/8" sparse 'String' mohair pile from Helmbold.
